Sandlot Baseball Boys & Girls

​Sandlot Baseball is a program designed to provide a fun and exciting environment for kids to play the game without coaching and practice.  The power of play, just play and have fun.  There are no walks, and for safety and health reasons kids do not pitch.  The players will bat, run, score & play as many defensive positions as they can. A coach or pitching machine will be used. Teams will be balanced by the coach and all players will rotate positions every inning.

There will be 2 Divisions of Sandlot for daytime games (TBD times & days)

12u & 7th-12th grade

Middle School/High School

Locations:  AOR Edwards field corner of Lake Otis and O'Malley.

The Games

​

The games will be timed (1 hour & 30 minutes) we play as many innings as possible.  There will be a 15-minute warmup before the game. This will keep the pace of play fast and each inning exciting. A conventional 3 out format will be followed as well as “Sand Lot” rules introduced. There will be no walking in order to help create an “offensive” environment.  All players present will play multiple defensive positions.  Coaches will help to ensure all the players have a fun and exciting experience in each game. Games are moved to our indoor training facility if the weather is a factor.

Cost

 

The cost per player for Sandlot is by summer or drop-ins.   Member drop-in fee is $20/game.  Non-member drop-in fee is $25/game.  You must RSVP for drop-ins via text at 907-830-4456.  Drop-ins are only permitted by space available.
