For more than three decades, Mike Fetko has dedicated his life to coaching, teaching, and mentoring athletes—helping them reach their full potential both on and off the field.

​

Over the years, 63 of Mike’s players have advanced to compete at the collegiate level, including one former Mat-Su Miner who was drafted by the Oakland A’s.

​

Since 2009, Mike has been a National Pitching Association (NPA) certified pitching instructor, training directly under NPA Founder Tom House for more than 16 years. He is one of only 12 NPA Master Performance Instructors worldwide, an Epstein Hitting Instructor, and an NPA Regional Director.

​

As founder and president of Players Edge Academy in Anchorage, Alaska, Mike’s mission is clear: to inform, to instruct, and to inspire. Using cutting-edge, science-based training methods and NPA protocols, he develops athletes who are healthy, respected competitors—and the best versions of themselves.

​

Mike’s baseball coaching career began in 2001, but his coaching journey started much earlier—back in 1993 with Bartlett High School wrestling. Since then, he has coached Little League, Pony, American Legion, Alaska Baseball Academy, high school programs, and elite travel teams, as well as multiple sports including wrestling, football, volleyball, basketball, baseball, and softball.

Recognized nationwide for his knowledge, enthusiasm, and results, Mike has trained players and coaches across Alaska and the U.S. His ultimate goal remains simple yet powerful: elevate performance while making a lasting, positive impact on the lives of young athletes.

A proud Alaskan since 1978, Mike enjoys the outdoors—especially fishing for salmon and trout on the Kenai River. But his greatest passion is building confidence, skill, and character in every athlete he mentors.
