Desiring to learn from the best and teach the latest science-based training methods, Mike Fetko has studied with NPA Founder Tom House for the last 11 years. Mike became a National Pitching Association (NPA) certified pitching instructor in 2009. Since that time, he earned an Epstein hitting instructor certification, achieved NPA master pitching instructor status and became the Northwest Area Director for the NPA.

Mike is the founder and president of Players Edge  Academy in Anchorage, Alaska. His mission is to inform, instruct and inspire athletes. He strives to positively impact player performance by using the latest NPA protocols. Mike is committed to educating athletes so they can become healthy, respected competitors and be the best player they can be.

Beginning his baseball coaching career in 2001, Mike has coached Little League, PONY, High School, American Legion, Alaska Baseball Academy and many competitive travel teams over the years. His dedication to the great sport of baseball, knowledge, determination and infectious enthusiasm has earned him recognition as an expert in training both players and coaches.  Mike has coached wrestling, football, volleyball, basketball, baseball & softball.  It all started 32 years ago coaching Bartlett high school wrestling.

 

Mike moved to Alaska in 1978 where he learned to love the outdoors, especially fishing for King Salmon on the famous Kenai River. His passion lies in making a positive impact in the performance of the youth he instructs and most importantly, make a positive difference in their lives.
